This square band has been forged from molten platinum using old world methods of metal smithing. With a light hammer and a hint of rustic texture, the ring is strong and manly, but refined and understated. It is 8mm wide with a thickness that varies from 1.75mm in the center to 2.25mm at the corners, and has been finished with beveled interior edges for a comfort fit.
Because the metal is cold worked, hand forged bands like this one are denser and stronger than bands that are cast. Platinum has an extremely high melting point (3236 degrees F), so this band was made with several different hammers and lots of fire.
One of the noblest of metals, platinum has a wear characteristic that outlasts gold 10x to 1x. We use an alloy that is 95% platinum and 5% ruthenium.
This listing's price covers bands in ring size 7.25-10. For ring sizes outside of this window, please contact us for pricing.
